A Day at Stockley Farm Park
Date: 1st Apr 2015 @ 4:41pm
We have had such a fantastic day at Stockley Farm! The weather was little cold and we had a little bit of rain but we didin't mind because we were having so much fun. We got to see a whole range of farm animals and pets, which we loved because we allowed to touch and stroke them! The cows tried to lick our hands and their tongues felt very rough! When we fed the kids (baby goats) we couldn't believe how strong they were- they alomost oulled the bottles out of our hands!
We got the opportunity to groom a pony which many of us had never done before and we thought the Shetland pony was eally cute and soft. in the poly tunnel we got to plant some seeds whcih will for for the pets in pets corner to eat and use.
The tractor ride was very bumpy! we thought it was really becuase our bottoms jumped off the hay bales. We sang lots of famyard songs on our journey around the farm, we wondered if that's why it started to rain!
One of our favourite animals at the farm was Gladys, the pig. She was very warm and welcomming and jumped up to say hello. She especially like having her photograph taken!
After a long day at the farm we were quite glad to get be back on the coach. Mrs Yarwood said we were much quieter on the way home than on the way there- some of us even fell asleep! All our helpers were very happy with us on the trip because we all remebered what we had to do when we were around the animals and we all stayed safe.
What a fantastic day!
