Properties of Materials

Year 5 have been busy over the past few weeks investigating the properties of materials in our science lessons. We have learnt lots of new vocabulary such as: opaque, magnetic, translucent, permeable, insulator and conductor. We have also used our scientific enquiry skills to plan an investigation to test the best mateiral to use as a thermal insluator. We have to ensure our investigation was a fair test by keeping the controlled variables the same.
